General Assembly Report

A rundown on the latest General Assembly by the Student Government.

Dec 3, 2017

This week’s Student Government’s General Assembly focused on electing the third member of the Elections Commission and approving the New Student Interest Group Funding Guidelines.
In order to facilitate the election of next year’s representatives for the Class of 2021 and Class of 2020 representatives, the third Elections Commission member, Alex Matters, Class of 2018, was elected to serve on the committee.
The final draft of the SIG Funding Guidelines document has been published and is up for reviews and revisions. The document can be found on the Student Portal, OrgSync and NYUAD Student Life and NYUAD Forum Facebook groups. The Google Doc will be open for comments until Dec. 7, after which the official document will be published and applied to SIG budget allocation for the spring 2018 semester.
Finally, a review of this semester’s SIG spending has shown that to date 49 percent of the SIG budget allocations have yet to be used.
