On March 13, Student Government General Assembly focused on four main topics: the Academic Disciplinary Committee, the IT Committee, the proposition that students on leave of absence should also be considered members of the student body and the tabling of the discussion about whether names of Student Government members should be mentioned in The Gazelle without their prior approval.
The GA commenced with the discussion on the role of the Academic Disciplinary Committee, which will be introduced in the 2016-2017 academic year. The Committee will run academic integrity procedures and will consist of both students and faculty.
The role of the IT Committee was also discussed. The Committee will act as a liaison between the student body and the IT team.
The motion to examine the proposition that the student body should include students on leave of absence was passed with 10 votes in favor. There was one vote against the motion and two abstentions.
The motion to table the discussion about whether names of Student Government members should be mentioned in The Gazelle without their prior agreement was also passed, with nine votes in favor. There was one vote against the motion and one abstention.
